At AWDREO, we understand that economic empowerment is the foundation for sustainable development and lasting resilience.
In a country grappling with challenges, we are committed to creating opportunities that enable individuals, families, and communities to achieve self-reliance and improve their livelihoods.
Through our agricultural development initiatives, we’ve transformed the lives of farmers and internally displaced people (IDPs) in Logar and Bamiyan provinces. By providing training, tools, and resources, we empower farmers to enhance productivity, adopt sustainable practices, and increase their incomes. These efforts not only ensure food security but also foster economic stability in vulnerable communities.
In addition to agriculture, we focus on supporting small businesses, especially those led by women and youth. By offering financial assistance, skills training, and mentorship, we help aspiring entrepreneurs turn their visions into reality, while connecting them to markets and supply chains to sustain their growth.
Recognizing the urgent need to address food insecurity, our programs have provided cash-based and in-kind support to over 500,000 households in Kabul, Logar, and Ghor provinces. In 2024 alone, we reached 98,469 households, with our efforts extending into 2025 to ensure no family is left behind.
Our vocational training programs have also played a crucial role in equipping individuals with technical and entrepreneurial skills, enabling them to secure sustainable employment. These initiatives are particularly transformative for women and youth, offering them a pathway to economic independence and a brighter future.
At AWDREO, we are proud of the impact we’ve made, but there is still much to be done. We invite you to join us in empowering Afghanistan’s vulnerable populations, whether by supporting our programs, partnering with us, or sharing our mission to create sustainable change. Together, we can build a stronger, more resilient Afghanistan where every individual has the opportunity to thrive.
